2002 - 2003

For as long as I can remember going on solitary walks has been an important part of my life. With this series of photographs, I have chosen to retrace my steps and document some of the places I have walked over the years — places that now only exist in my mind as distant memories.

The landscapes and places are as varies as the many facets that make up my personality. I have enjoyed going back to all of these locations and retracing the same paths that have lead me to the person I am today.

... a person’s present is inexplicably tied to his or her past. Whether it is the places they have lived, the people who have influenced their lives, or the circumstances in which they find themselves, these experiences have mapped out their personalities and have formed who they have become today.
